This article applies to the Original Vibe Board 55″.
Please confirm your Model on the back label of your Vibe board:
For model V55N201W or V55N201R, we use a micro USB port.
For model V55N203W, we use a Type B cable port.
For models V55N201W and V55N201R
Note:
Make sure the computer's USB port and micro-USB cable both have data transfer capabilities.
The micro USB and USB 3.0 ports cannot be used at the same time. The micro USB interface will be disabled if they are connected at the same time.
Since Vibe Sulfur 2.1.5, multi-finger touchback is supported on Windows and Chromebooks.
Here are the step-by-step instructions:
Connect your computer to the Vibe board using an HDMI cable.
Connect the computer to the Vibe board via another micro USB cable. This connection is located between Audio and USB 3.0 on Vibe, as shown below.
Click the HDMI icon on the status bar to enter HDMI. If the micro USB cable has been connected, it will enter touchback mode automatically. Or, you can switch to annotation mode by clicking the icon in the upper right corner.
Multi-touch Support
Go to Settings - Experimental, and switch on Multi-touch Support (HDMI).
If your PC is running with Windows 7 Professional, Ubuntu 14.04, ChromeOS 54 or above, no additional driver is needed.
Special notes for macOS:
MacOS does NOT support multi-touch. Therefore, considering function stabilities, we only recommend Mac users with single-touch mode.
However, if you insist on using multi-touch, first you need to install a third-party driver UPDD from here. It is provided by our vendor and you can use it for free, but please be noted that using it is completely at your own risk. We do NOT provide technical support related to UPDD.
Here are some tips for UPDD, for reference only. Generally speaking, macOS 10.12 or above with intel CPU should work fine, M1-based macOS is not supported currently.
For model V55N203W
Here are the step-by-step instructions.
Connect your computer to the Vibe board using an HDMI cable.
Connect the computer to the Vibe board via another type B cable. The port is indicated as USB-B on the label, as shown below.
Click the HDMI icon on the status bar to enter HDMI. If the type B cable has been connected, it will enter touchback mode automatically. Or, you can switch to annotation mode by clicking the icon in the upper right corner.
Multi-touch Support
Vibe will automatically detect the OS running on your PC
if connected with Windows 10 and other OS-supported multi-touch, Vibe will activate multi-touch mode;
if connected with macOS without a UPDD driver, Vibe will enter single-touch mode automatically.
